Blue Mountains
This is a spring time tour travelling by chartered coach from Thirroul for a 4 day visit
to the Blue Mountains. Highlights of Gardens and Galleries include Norman
Lindsay!s gallery at Faulconbridge, the 1930!s National Trust “Everglades” at Leura
and guided visits to Mt Tomah and Mt Annan Botanic Gardens.
Insights Tours has arranged our own guides at the gardens and you!ll have ample time to explore, investigate and relax. We travel to Katoomba on day 1 where we stay for 3 nights at the Three Sisters Motel that has its own dining room and is within easy walking distance of Echo Point and is close to the centre of Katoomba. Each day we will arrive back at Katoomba mid afternoon allowing you some free time to relax and to do your own thing.
This tour will appeal to those with an interest in botany, flowers, art, low key relaxation and is all-inclusive and fully escorted.
Morning departure from Thirroul travelling via Picton and Mulgoa for morning tea at Glenbrook. We continue to Leura where we have lunch at “Everglades” – the National Trust owned property with its 13 acres of European gardens and 1930!s Glades house. There will be a tour of the house and gardens following lunch in Glades house. We arrive mid afternoon at Katoomba where we stay for 3 nights.

This morning we travel to the village of Mt Wilson to visit the “Windyridge” gardens then to the botanic garden at Mt Tomah where we have a guided walk and lunch. After lunch there will be some time for you to take in the attractions of the gardens at your own leisure before returning to Katoomba.

Morning visit to Blackheath visiting Govett!s Leap for a view over the Grose Valley and to Shipley lookout for a view of the Megalong Valley. During our visit to Blackheath we will see the Rhododendron Park that should be in full bloom. We go to Leura for lunch at “Bygone Beautys” following which there will be ample time to explore Leura!s many interesting galleries and shops including Leura woodturners! gallery. We return to Katoomba where the remainder of the afternoon will be at leisure.

Morning visit to Norman Lindsay!s Gallery at Faulconbridge for a guided inspection. The tour continues to the Mt Annan Botanic Garden for lunch and guided tour. We will arrive at Thirroul about 4pm.

Insights Tours will be chartering a luxury 14 seat air-conditioned coach that has very comfortable and well-spaced seating with excellent visibility.Accommodation
All accommodation is at the 3 Sisters Motel, Katoomba that is located within easy walking distance of both Echo Point and other attractions. The cost of the tour is based on twin share ensuite accommodation.Limited single accommodation is available for an additional cost of $125.
Luggage
