HIGH COUNTRY INSIGHTS ::
THURSDAY 2nd TO TUESDAY 7th FEBRUARY, 2012
A 6 day tour by chartered mini coach featuring insights of the Snowy Mountains and
towns and villages in and around the Australian Alps. We stay 2 nights at Corryong at
1 night each at Braidwood, Tumut and Jindabyne.
Our insightful touring will include scenic, off-the-beaten track routes such as from
Jugiong through Adjungbilly to Tumut, and Cooma to Braidwood via Numeralla.
Features of the tour include a cave tour at Yarrangobilly, Cabramurra - Australia's
highest town, the Man from Snowy River Museum at Corryong, the Tintaldra general
store on the bank's of the Murray River, the Tooma Hotel and Paddy's River Falls.
You'll also experience a train ride on the The Cooma Monaro Railway, and have a
guided tour of a Snowy Hydro Electric Scheme power station. We'll have morning tea
at Dalgety which once considered as a candidate for the national capital.
This will be a relaxing and interesting 6 days with lots to see and travelling in
spacious comfort – join Insights Tours on our chartered an airconditioned mini coach
with spacious capacity so you can relax and enjoy the journey.
As is our custom for all tours, High Country Insights will be fully escorted and we'll be
staying at good, comfortable motels. The tariff is all inclusive of meals, entrance fees,

LAKE EYRE BY AIR ::

This six-day itinerary, travelling by light aircraft, visiting
outback NSW, Queensland and South Australia, takes in
the Corner Country, Lake Eyre and Lake Mungo. A truly
quintessential Australian journey tracing the steps of
European explorers and colonial drovers, and walking in
the timeless land of indigenous Australians.
You will visit outback stations, see the famous Cooper Creek and Lake
Eyre, explore the unique Flinders Ranges and experience

BRAZILIAN INSIGHTS ::
4th – 26th JULY 2012
Brazilian Insights will take you to parts of Brazil that are rarely visited, even by Brazilians! Some of the
fascinating highlights: the Amazon rainforest;
Macapa, where the Amazon meets the Atlantic; the
historic river-port of Manaus; the Pantanal, the world's
biggest wetland; Iguacu falls; and of
course, we go to Rio!
Stay at the unique
floating Uacari eco lodge in a very
remote part of the Amazon, and spot
wildlife at the family-owned lodge, Refugio da Ilha in the Pantanal.
Travel by train, plane, boat and horse (if you wish).
For your tastebuds:
churrascaria (not recommended for vegetarians!), fresh, tasty juices of
exotic amazonia fruits, fine dining at Aprazivel in Rio de Janeiro. Inclusive
of all meals and accommodation and is fully escorted, with our own expert local

OUTBACK QUEENSLAND BY TRAIN ::
31st July – 7th August 2012
Outback Queensland by Train will feature travel by two of Queensland Rail's iconic
regional trains, The Westlander and the Spirit of the Outback. We have specially
arranged sleeping cars so you can relive (or experience for the first time) the fun of
sleeping on the rails. Leaving Brisbane on the Westlander we overnight on the train en
route to Charleville then we tour by private chartered coach to Blackall, Barcaldine,
Longreach and Winton.
Our touring features the Stockman's Hall of Fame and
Qantas Founder's Museum at Longreach, the Waltzing Matilda Cultural Centre and
the Lark Quarry Dinosaur Stampede near Winton and a cruise on the Thompson River.
We return to Brisbane overnight on the Spirit of the Outback train featuring first class
sleeping berths with breakfast, lunch and dinner served in the Tuckerbox Restaurant
dining car.

Islands. Also included is lush Lawn Hill National Park, Birdsville and riding the one-of-akind

LADAKH INSIGHTS ::

Visit Himalayan India's Ladakh region including Leh also known as Little Tibet. Features
are traversing some of the world's highest navigable roads, awe-inspiring mountain
scenery, stunning lakes, ancient Buddhist temples and Himachali and Ladakhi culture
and cuisine.
Ladakh Insights ascends steadily from the plains at Delhi, culminating in a four night
stay at Leh. Our ascent features a chartered railcar on the World Heritage-listed
Shimla line, overnight at Lake Tsomoriri and leisurely travel in chartered cars with
