"Lake Eyre by Air" is a 6 day tour departing from Albion Park and travelling by chartered aircraft. It gives you the perfect opportunity to see far flung and interesting parts of the Outback with the ease and perspective of travelling by air.

An enormous amount of widespread rain has fallen across outback NSW, Queensland and South Australia and this very rare event has caused the colossal transformation of the country.

The massive expanse of Lake Eyre is the principal feature of this tour and our tour encompasses many other insights of the Outback over 6 days. You will visit Cooper Creek and the site where Burke and Wills infamously perished, the iconic Birdsville Hotel, see Wilpena Pound and meet the owners of Kilcowera Station and stay overnight after a tour of the property.

As well, we visit the Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary in the northern Flinders Ranges and experience their award winning 4WD tour to Siller's lookout. At the opal mining settlement of White Cliffs, we stay underground at Underground Motel and at World Heritage Listed Lake Mungo we'll see the lunar lakeside environment where human remains dating from 40,000 years have been found.

The tour starts and finishes at Albion Park airport and we fly in a turbine powered Cessna Caravan aircraft which is certified as one the safest single engine aeroplanes. It's equipped with 9 passenger seats though we will have a maximum of 7 guests, so that everyone has a window seat.
